The UK Global Talent visa is for recognised leaders (“Exceptional Talent”) and emerging leaders (“Exceptional Promise”) in:

- Arts and Culture – including film, television, fashion, architecture, literature, dance, and other creative fields.
- Academia and Research – across all disciplines.
- Digital Technology – including tech innovation, product design, and development.
Eligibility
Applicants must obtain an endorsement from an approved endorsing body:

- Arts Council England – for arts and culture, including film and television.
- UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) – for academia and research.
- Digital Technology – currently awaiting the appointment of a new endorsing body following the closure of Tech Nation.
- Exceptional Talent – for recognised leaders in their field.
- Exceptional Promise – for individuals who have shown significant potential to become leaders.
Key Benefits

- Freedom to work for any employer, change jobs, or be self-employed.
- Pathway to Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) in 3 years (for Exceptional Talent) or 5 years (for Exceptional Promise).
- Ability to bring dependants (partner and children under 18).
Application ProcessEndorsement Application
- Submit your endorsement application to the relevant body with evidence of achievements and recognition in your field.
- Visa Application
- Once endorsed, apply to the Home Office for the Global Talent visa.
- Decision
- Most applications are processed within 3–8 weeks.

Settlement
After meeting the residence requirement (3 or 5 years depending on the endorsement type), applicants can apply for ILR, and later for British citizenship.
